TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

By making a reservation you agree to have read the terms and conditions of the company Hotel Punta Faro S.A.S. All people who stay at the Hotel Punta Faro, during their stay, will be subject to this regulation, which is considered an adhesion contract that must be fulfilled. Otherwise, the Management reserves the right of admission and permanence.

 

PHILOSOPHY OF SILENCE

 

Punta Faro is a destination for those looking for an experience of rest and tranquility. This is why our philosophy of silence is sacred, WITHOUT EXCEPTION THE use of speakers, mini components, music amplifiers or any device that disturbs the tranquility of our guests within all areas of the hotel is NOT ALLOWED.

Guests must behave with decency and morality within the establishment, being prohibited from disturbing order by making noises that bother or annoy other guests, as well as using the room to carry out any act or game prohibited by law.

The illegal consumption of toxic drugs, narcotics or psychotropic substances is prohibited. This infraction will be immediately reported to the Security Forces and Bodies.

Failure to comply with these Internal Accommodation Regulations by the guest will be cause for termination of the accommodation contract, without legal responsibility for the establishment.

 

 

RESERVATION POLICY

 

All reservations must be guaranteed with an advance payment that could be total or partial depending on your sales channel or the time in advance with which you make the reservation. In those cases that the supplied credit card presents inconveniences due to rejection of payment, invalid card or insufficient funds, the client must present a new card within a period not exceeding 24 hours from the notification by our agents. If the client does not meet the established deadline and does not present the new credit card, the reservation will be canceled and availability must be checked again. If the reservation is requested less than 15 days before the arrival date, then the total value of the plan must be cancelled.

 

 

CANCELLATIONS AND PENALTIES

 

The types and handling of each of the cancellations are described below.

 

 

CANCELLATION OF RESERVATIONS WITH NOTIFICATION PRIOR TO ENTRY

 

Any cancellation or change of dates of confirmed reservations will generate automatically and without exception, a charge for administrative expenses of 10% of the total amount of the reservation, in addition to the corresponding charges as detailed in the cancellations and penalties paragraph. The financial expenses for commissions and/or transfers generated in the refund processes will be deducted from the total amount of the refund.

 

 

CANCELLATIONS AND PENALTIES

 

Cancellations will be accepted in the event that THE CLIENT communicates it in writing to the sales advisor with whom he made the reservation and copying to the reservations department reservasbarranquilla@puntafaro.com confirming receipt. For hotel services, the penalties for cancellation are as follows:

 

LOW SEASON:

With 16 or more days to the arrival date, 90% of the total reservation will be refunded.

Between 15 and 5 days, 50% of the total reservation will be refunded.

Less than 5 days from the date of entry there will be no refund of the payment made.

 

HIGH AND MEDIUM SEASON:

With 30 or more days to the start date, 90% of the total reservation will be refunded.

Between 29 and 15 days, 50% of the total reservation will be refunded.

Less than 14 days there will be no refund of the deposit or payment.

NOTE: Cancellations will be accepted in the event that THE CLIENT communicates it in writing to the corresponding sales channel.

 

 

CANCELLATION OF RESERVATIONS WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION (NO SHOW)

 

They will not have the right to claim or refund those reservations that do not show up at the hotel on the day of Check-in, except that the causes of the cancellation are the product of a family calamity, in which case it must be verified and documented. For those cases in which the NO SHOW is due to medical disability, the medical documents that certify it must be presented. On the other hand, duly verified causes of force majeure will be taken into consideration by the commercial management to determine the application of the penalty as appropriate.

 

 

CANCELLATION DUE TO EARLY INTERRUPTION OF STAY

 

Any early departure by decision or account of THE CLIENT will not be reimbursed for nights not spent, except for reasons of force majeure or duly verified fortuitous event. Example; reasons of weather, hurricanes, earthquakes, acts of terrorism, calamity or medical emergency. In these cases, the amounts will be refunded according to the corresponding penalties and administrative expenses.

 

 

BOOKING CANCELLATION CONDITIONS FOR GROUPS OR EVENTS

 

The terms for this category are presented individually to the client. e since they may vary according to the agreed negotiation.

 

 

DATE CHANGES (except no show)

 

Any change of confirmed reservation dates will generate automatically and without exception, a charge for administrative expenses of 10% of the total amount of the reservation, in addition to the charges that correspond to increases due to rate or season changes and penalties as detailed in the cancellations and penalties paragraph.

 

 

REFUNDS

 

Any refund claim must be requested in writing through Hotel Punta Faro S.A.S within a period not exceeding three (03) days after the cancellation of the reservation and/or the completion of the contracted services. The refund will be made within 10 business days of your request. It will be subject to discounts for bank charges generated or exchange rates that may occur at the time of currency purchase for refunds to international accounts.

 

 

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

 

When purchasing our accommodation services either through our website www.puntafaro.com or through our reservation center, you may exercise the right of withdrawal within five business days from the purchase confirmation. The withdrawal will not proceed for reservations whose entry date is before five days. To withdraw, send an email to reservasbarranquilla@puntafaro.com. The refund of the money will be made without deductions of any kind, by bank deposit in the name of the holder of the reservation or by reversion to the credit card used for the purchase, depending on the payment method used, within 30 calendar days following the retraction exercise.

 

 

SPECIAL REQUESTS

 

If the client has any special request, this must be requested in writing without this implying any guarantee on it and that its refusal is just cause for cancellation of the purchase.

Check-out (room eviction) must be done no later than 9:00 am. Since the departure of the boat is at 10:00 am. The Late Check out (late departure) allows you to stay in the room until 2:00 PM as long as it is requested at the time of booking and with prior authorization.

 

 

RATES

 

All rates published on the hotel's website or other portals are valid on the day of their quote only and may vary. Rates are subject to change without notice, whether due to rate increases, discounts, promotions or other types of benefits. Rates at the time of purchase are only guaranteed based on availability.

All rates are published in Colombian pesos and the currency changes in our booking engine serve only as reference values as required by each user at the time of consultation. Charges to foreign credit cards will be made in Colombian pesos and the currency exchange will be governed by the representative market rate on the day of the transaction. The conversion rate that may exist between the Colombian bank and the bank of the card issuer may result in a variation of the amount reflected in your account statement or quote.

 

 

BAGGAGE POLICY

 

The buyer exempts Hotel Punta Faro S.A.S from any type of responsibility in the loss of luggage, damage to luggage, loss of valuables, loss and damage to electronic devices that have not been reported at the time of boarding the boats. Due to the fact that the transport is by boat, during navigation there could be conditions of strong tides where the blow of the waves to the bow where the luggage hold is located causes damage to those luggage whose material is hard paste and could generate fractures in said material. Thus, the buyer exempts from responsibility for any of the damages that hard-backed luggage suffers during the journey to the island.

 

 

POLICY FOR ACCOMMODATION OF MINORS AT THE PUNTA FARO HOTEL

 

All minors who enter the hotel must present their birth certificate, identity card or passport that demonstrates direct kinship with their parents. In those cases where the minors are not accompanied by their parents, their custodians must present legal authorization from their parents by means of a legitimate document and with acknowledgment of a notarized signature accompanied by the respective copies of the parents' identity documents.

 

 

INFANT

 

All minors up to 3 years of age are considered in this category; Infants are free of payment for their stay, food, sharing a bed, or in a crib (up to 3 years old) in those rooms that capacity allows. They are also free of charges for nautical transport, as long as they are carried in arms and do not occupy a position inside the boat. If the infant does not travel in arms and requires a position on the boat, it will be charged to the reserve with the value of boys and girls. To room reservations where the accommodation includes an adult and an infant, the rate will be considered in simple accommodation.

 

 

CHILDREN

 

All children between 3 and 10 years of age are considered in this category; Children may share a bed or additional beds may be added according to the number requested and the accommodation capacity of the room. Children have a special rate for stay, food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and sea transportation.

 

 

POLICY FOR THE PREVENTION OF COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS AT HOTEL PUNTA FARO

 

At Hotel Punta Faro we are committed to the protection of children and adolescents so that they are not victims of commercial sexual exploitation for this reason, we will report to the competent authorities any case that violates the rights of children and adolescents.

 

 

OUR POLICY AGAINST SEX TOURISM OR ANY FORM OF EXPLOITATION

 

Our duty is to promote the tourist area in a responsible manner, respecting the local, natural and cultural environments, and warning of the impact of non-responsible tourism.

 

 

PERSONS OR COMPANIONS WHO HAVE NOT BEEN REGISTERED IN THE RESERVATION OR AT THE TIME OF CHECK-IN ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE HOTEL, SINCE OUR HOTEL IS OPPOSED TO ALL TYPES OF SEXUAL EXPLOITATION.
