TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By making a reservation you agree to have read the terms and conditions of the company Hotel Punta Faro S.A.S. All people who stay at the Hotel Punta Faro, during their stay, will be subject to this regulation, which is considered a contract of adhesion that must be fulfilled. Otherwise, the Management reserves the right of admission and permanence.
PHILOSOPHY OF SILENCE
Punta Faro is a destination for those seeking an experience of rest and tranquility. This is why our philosophy of silence is sacred, the use of speakers, mini components, music amplifiers or any device that alters the tranquility of our guests within all areas of the hotel is NOT ALLOWED WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
Guests must behave with decency and morality within the establishment, being prohibited from disturbing the order by making noises that bother or annoy other guests, as well as using the room to carry out any act or game prohibited by law.
Illegal consumption of toxic drugs, narcotics or psychotropic substances is prohibited. This infraction will be reported immediately to the Security Forces and Bodies.
Failure to comply with these Internal Lodging Regulations by the guest will be grounds for termination of the lodging contract, without legal liability for the establishment.
MEASURES AGAINST THE HEALTH EMERGENCY DUE TO COVID-19
As a requirement to board our boats and enter the facilities of the Hotel Punta Faro, the following preventive biosafety measures must be complied with and that we are implementing to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19
Use mouth cover (mandatory) in the service areas indicated when arriving at the hotel.
Disinfect your luggage.
Apply hand washing at the different points located in the Hotel facilities
Perform hand disinfection
All reservations must be guaranteed with an advance payment that could be total or partial depending on your sales channel or the time in advance with which you make the reservation. In those cases where the credit card provided has problems due to refusal of payment, invalid card or insufficient funds, the client must present a new card within a period not exceeding 24 hours from the notification by our agents. If the client does not meet the deadline and does not present the new credit card, the reservation will be canceled and the availability must be checked again. If the reservation is requested less than 15 days before the arrival date, then the total value of the plan must be paid.
CANCELLATIONS AND PENALTIES
The types and handling of each of the cancellations are described below.
1 - Cancellation of reservations with notification prior to entry.
Any cancellation or change of dates of confirmed reservations will generate automatically and without exception, a charge for administrative expenses of 10% of the total amount of the reservation, in addition to the corresponding charges as detailed in the cancellations and penalties paragraph. The financial expenses for commissions and/or transfers generated in the refund processes will be deducted from the total amount of the refund.
CANCELLATIONS AND PENALTIES: Cancellations will be accepted in the event that THE CLIENT communicates it in writing to the sales advisor with whom he made the reservation and copying it to the reservations department firstname.lastname@example.org confirming receipt. For hotel services, the cancellation penalties are as follows:
With 16 or more days to the arrival date, 90% of the total reservation will be refunded.
Between 15 and 5 days, 50% of the total reservation will be refunded.
Less than 5 days from the date of entry there will be no refund of the payment made.
With 30 or more days to the start date, 90% of the total reservation will be refunded.
Between 29 and 15 days, 50% of the total reservation will be refunded.
Less than 14 days there will be no return of the deposit or payment.
NOTE: Cancellations will be accepted in the event that THE CLIENT communicates it in writing to the corresponding sales channel.
2- Cancellation of reservations without prior notification (No show).
Those reservations that do not show up at the hotel on the day of check-in will not have the right to claim or refund, unless the causes of the cancellation are the product of a family calamity, in which case it must be verified. For those cases in which the NO SHOW is due to medical incapacity, the medical supports that certify it must be presented. On the other hand, duly verified causes of force majeure will be taken into consideration by the commercial management to determine the application of the penalty as appropriate.
3 - Cancellation due to interruption of anticipated stay
Any early departure by decision or account of THE CLIENT will not have a refund on the nights not spent, except for reasons of force majeure or duly proven fortuitous event. Example; reasons of weather, hurricanes, earthquakes, acts of terrorism, calamity or medical emergency. In these cases, the values will be reimbursed according to the corresponding penalties and administrative expenses.
4 - Reservation cancellation conditions for groups or events
The terms for this category will be given for groups that comprise more than 20% of the total capacity of the accommodation in the facilities of the Hotel Punta Faro. The penalties will be subject to the contractual terms agreed between the parties, which may not be higher or lower than the conditions of literal 1.
DATE CHANGES (except no show)
Any change of dates of confirmed reservations will generate automatically and without exception, a charge for administrative expenses of 10% of the total amount of the reservation, in addition to the charges that correspond to the increases due to rate or season changes and to the penalties as detailed in the cancellations and penalties paragraph.
Any claim for reimbursement must be requested in writing through Hotel Punta Faro S.A.S within a period not exceeding three (03) days after the cancellation of the reservation and/or the completion of the contracted services. The refund will be made within 10 business days of your request. It will be subject to discounts for bank charges generated or exchange rates that may occur at the time of purchase of foreign currency for reimbursement to international accounts.
Withdrawal policy: When you book our services through www.puntafaro.com or the Reservation Center, you may exercise the right of withdrawal no later than five business days after the purchase confirmation. The withdrawal will not proceed for reservations whose date of entry is before five days. To withdraw, send an email to email@example.com if you made your purchase through the website, or contact the Reservation Center if you made your purchase through said channel. The refund of the money will be made without deductions of any kind, by bank deposit in the name of the reservation holder or by reversal to the credit card used for the purchase, depending on the payment method used, within 30 calendar days following the withdrawal exercise.
Right of withdrawal, withdrawal and other reimbursement circumstances in the framework of the Health Emergency due to Covid-19. Decree 557 of 2020. Requests for withdrawal, withdrawal and reimbursement of hotel services received during the validity of the Sanitary Emergency declared by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in the Colombian territory, may be reimbursed in the services provided by the Hotel for a year counted from the date of the application. If the client has any special request, it must be requested in writing without this implying any guarantee on it and that its denial is just cause for cancellation of the purchase.
Check out (room eviction) must be done no later than 9:00 am. Since the departure of the boat is at 9:15 am. The Late Check out (late departure) allows you to stay in the room until 2:00 PM as long as it is requested with prior authorization from the operations manager.
All rates published on the hotel website or other portals are valid on the day of their quote only and may vary. Rates are subject to change without prior notice, whether due to increases, discounts, promotions or other benefits. Rates are only guaranteed at the time of purchase based on availability.
All rates are published in Colombian pesos and only in some cases in US dollars. Foreign credit cards regardless of country or currency
that govern them will be charged and collected in Colombian pesos at the representative market rate on the day of the transaction. The conversion rate that may exist between the Colombian bank and the card issuer's bank may result in a variation of the amount reflected in your account statement or quote.
LUGGAGE: The buyer exempts the company Hotel Punta Faro S.A.S from any type of responsibility in the loss of luggage, damage to luggage, loss of valuables, loss and damage of electronic devices that have not been reported at the time of boarding in the
boats. Due to the fact that the transport is by boat, the buyer exempts the seller from any liability of any title for the damages that the previous goods suffer, as long as they are due to force majeure and/or fortuitous event.
POLICY FOR ACCOMMODATION OF MINORS AT HOTEL PUNTA FARO
All minors who enter the hotel must present their birth certificate or passport that shows direct kinship with their parents. In those cases where minors are not accompanied by their parents, their guardians, they must present legal authorization from their parents by means of a legitimate document and with acknowledgment of a notarized signature accompanied by the respective copies of the identity documents of the parents.
All minors up to 3 years of age are considered in this category; infants are free of payment for stay, food, sharing a bed, or in a cot (up to 3 years), in those rooms that capacity allows. They are also free of charges for nautical transport, as long as they are carried in arms and do not occupy a position inside the boat.
In case of accommodation of an adult and an infant in any of our rooms, the rate will be considered value as a single room.
All minors between 3 to 10 years old are considered in this category; Children may share a bed or additional beds may be entered according to the number requested and the room's accommodation capacity. Children have a special rate for accommodation, food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and maritime transport.
POLICY FOR THE PREVENTION OF COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF GIRLS, CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS AT HOTEL PUNTA FARO
At Hotel Punta Faro we are committed to protecting children and adolescents so that they are not victims of commercial sexual exploitation. For this reason, we will report any case that violates the rights of children and adolescents to the competent authorities.

Our duty is to promote the tourist area in a responsible way, respecting the local, natural and cultural environments, and warning of the impact of non-responsible tourism.
PEOPLE OR COMPANIONS WHO HAVE NOT BEEN REGISTERED IN THE RESERVATION OR AT THE TIME OF CHECK IN ARE NOT ALLOWED INTO THE HOTEL, SINCE OUR HOTEL IS OPPOSED TO ALL KINDS OF SEXUAL EXPLOITATION.
