TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

By making a reservation, you agree to have read and accepted the terms and conditions of Hotel Punta Faro. All persons staying at the hotel are subject to these rules, which constitute a mandatory adhesion contract. Otherwise, the Management reserves the right to admission and stay.

 

SILENCE PHILOSOPHY

 

Punta Faro is a place for those seeking rest and tranquility. Therefore, our philosophy of silence is fundamental: the use of devices that disturb the peace of our guests in all areas of the hotel, including speakers, amplifiers, and music equipment, is strictly prohibited. Guests must behave with decency and respect towards others, avoiding noisy activities and illegal actions. The consumption of illegal drugs will be reported to the authorities.

 

Failure to comply with these rules may lead to the termination of the accommodation contract without legal liability for the hotel.

 

RESERVATION POLICY

 

Every reservation must be guaranteed with an advance payment, which may be total or partial, depending on the booking channel and the lead time. If the credit card encounters payment issues, the customer must provide a new card within 24 hours of notification. Otherwise, the reservation will be canceled, and availability should be rechecked. Reservations made with less than 15 days of advance notice must be fully paid.

 

CANCELLATIONS AND PENALTIES

 

Cancellations must be communicated in writing to the sales advisor and the reservations department. For hotel reservations, the cancellation penalties are as follows:

 

LOW SEASON:

 

With 16 or more days' notice, a 90% refund of the total reservation amount will be issued.

Between 15 and 5 days' notice, a 50% refund of the total reservation amount will be issued.

Less than 5 days before arrival, no refund will be given.

 

HIGH AND MIDDLE SEASON:

 

With 30 or more days' notice, a 90% refund of the total reservation amount will be issued.

Between 29 and 15 days' notice, a 50% refund of the total reservation amount will be issued.

Less than 14 days' notice, no refund will be given.

 

NO SHOW CANCELLATION

 

Reservations that do not show up at the hotel on the check-in day will not be entitled to a refund unless due to proven family calamity or force majeure reasons.

 

CANCELLATION DUE TO EARLY DEPARTURE

 

Early departures will not be refunded unless due to proven force majeure. For example: weather conditions, hurricanes, earthquakes, acts of terrorism, calamities, or medical emergencies. In such cases, refunds will be made according to the corresponding penalties and administrative expenses.

 

GROUP OR EVENT RESERVATION CANCELLATION CONDITIONS

 

Conditions for group or event reservations will be individually determined according to the negotiated agreement.

 

DATE CHANGES (except for no-show)

 

Any date change will automatically generate a 10% charge of the total reservation amount, in addition to charges for rate or season changes and the corresponding penalties.

 

REFUNDS

 

Refund requests must be submitted in writing within three days after canceling the reservation or completing the contracted services. The refund will be subject to deductions for banking fees or exchange rates.

 

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL POLICY

 

If you acquire our accommodation services through our website or central reservation, you may exercise the right of withdrawal within five business days after the purchase confirmation, unless the check-in date is less than five days away. To withdraw, send an email to reservasbarranquilla@puntafaro.com. The refund will be made without deductions, according to the payment method used, within 30 calendar days of exercising the right of withdrawal.

 

SPECIAL REQUESTS

 

Special requests must be made in writing, with no guarantee of fulfillment and no right to cancellation if denied. Check-out must be done by 9:00 AM at the latest, although a late check-out until 2:00 PM is available with prior authorization at the time of booking.

 

RATES

 

Published rates are valid only on the day of the quotation and are subject to change without prior notice. Rates are in Colombian pesos, and currency exchange will be governed by the market's representative rate on the day of the transaction. Charges to foreign credit cards will be in Colombian pesos.

 

BAGGAGE POLICY

 

The Customer exempts Hotel Punta Faro from any responsibility in case of loss of baggage, damage to baggage, loss of valuables, or damage to electronic devices that have not been reported at the time of boarding the boats. Since transportation is by boat, strong tidal conditions during navigation could cause damage to luggage made of rigid material. In such cases, the Customer exempts Hotel Punta Faro from liability for any damage suffered by rigid luggage during the journey to the island.

 

MINOR ACCOMMODATION POLICY

 

Minors must present documents demonstrating a direct relationship with their parents or a notarized authorization if not accompanied by them. Infants under 3 years old are exempt from payment and can share a bed or crib, while children aged 3 to 10 have special rates.

 

PREVENTION OF COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION POLICY

 

Hotel Punta Faro commits to report any case of commercial sexual exploitation of minors to the competent authorities.

 

ANTI-SEXUAL TOURISM POLICY

 

The entry of individuals not registered in the reservation or check-in is prohibited, as the hotel opposes any form of sexual exploitation.
